I'm not crazy

Crowded Roads

Rode the motorcycle to work today. 30* when I left the house, but I dressed properly for the ride, facemask, heavy ski gloves, layers upon layers, wool socks, so it wasn't bad at all.
Have to take advantage of these rare nice winter days in NJ. Supposed to get to 50*, so the ride home will be nice.
Strange looks from people on the way in, and people at work don't understand the concept of "I'm a motorcycle rider", therefore I ride whenever I can. Not everyone is a fortunate as MM and live in the south with warm weather most of the year.
I guess the old adage is true "If I have to explain you wouldn't understand"

Made it through the Holidays

Well, like everyone else, I'm sure we're glad to have made it through the holidays.

Went to my parents house yesterday, and my daughter brought my grandson down....what a little porker....lol.
He is a really good boy, no crying when being past around like a bag of chips.
He was happy sitting on Pops lap and being fed lasagna, along with some garlic bread. His first bite of bread gave him a sour face, but after that he wanted more.
The best thing about grandkids is handing them back to mom when they become rowdy!!!

Hope everyone had a good holiday. Shout out to MM, Trouble and Friday.

Crowded Roads

How much is enough

I am by no means a grinch, and I don't consider myself cheap, easy maybe, but not cheap.

When is enough giving enough? Grab bags here, pollyannas there, donate to kids that don't have anything, buy food for dept lunch, breakfast............wtf?
I don't have an unlimited source of funds, and I like to give as much as the next person. I finally said that's it, no more, I still have my family to take care of!!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Christmas to all

Crowded Roads

Hello Kids,
Been a looooong time since I've added anything to this blog, guess it's because I live such an interesting and busy life that I don't get the time. (hahahaha)

Had some goods things happen this year, and also a few sad.

Lost my buddy Zeus. He had cancer, and after being selfish as long as I could I finally let him leave for doggy heaven. Crappy day that was. Cried like a little baby. I had him cremated and put into a nice cedar box that I have sitting on my dresser. Still with me in spirit and always will be.
Not able to replace him, but I got another boxer, a puppy named Cody. Lord help me through these puppy years, he's a terror.

Now onto home repair. Kitchen is almost done. Involved more then I realized when I started. Had to replace wiring, which in turn means ripping out walls, replacing the dry wall, spackling and painting. Also replaced the lighting, and re-surfaced the flooring.
Is this considered a good thing or bad thing?

Went to Sturgis again this year, had a great time visiting the sites we didn't get to last year (Devils Tower, Wounded Knee). Missed my friends though as none where able to make it this year.
Hopefully if all goes as planned I will be heading to Myrtle Beach for bike week in '06.

My daughter had a son, my first grandchild, holy crap, how old am I? His name is Anthony Charles, I call him TC for short. He just started walking, so hopefully his mom will now understand what it's like to say NO and have no one listen.

That's pretty much my year in a nutshell. Hope yours went well.

Merry Christmas (don't care if that's politically incorrect or not), Happy New Year, and best wishes for the coming year.
